Emma Crooks' career day propels Tech to 17-8 victory over Campbell
Hokies head into ACC opener Saturday with back-to-back wins

BLACKSBURG – The Hokies gave up the game’s first two goals before finding its own rhythm with goals by Kara Reichert, Emma Crooks and Emma Harden to take a lead that they would not relinquish.
The win moves Tech’s record to 2-2 ahead of Saturday’s ACC opener against the Duke Blue Devils.
Crooks played the best game of her young career, handling draw control duties, coming up with five, while asserting herself in the offensive third with eight goals from eight shots.

Meagh Graham played well in goal, making 13 saves. She also caused a turnover and came up with two ground balls as she won
Sophomore transfer Julia Bolte was also impressive, racking up five assists on the afternoon and scoring two goals of her own.
Two freshmen defenders earned the first starts of their young careers; Elena Ricci and Carly Goetz. Ricci finished the game with a ground ball.
Mary Claire Byrne, Kelci O’Donnell and Taylor Caskey were also involved in the scoring as the Hokies scored 17 in consecutive games for the second time in the John Sung era.
