Tristan McGinley scored four goals on the afternoon but it wasn’t enough for Tech to defeat James Madison as the Dukes pushed 16 goals past the Hokies (0-2).
Meagh Graham made six saves on the afternoon including stopping multiple JMU free position opportunities.
McGinley recorded four goals for the 6th time in her career and Marissa Davey added a hat trick of her own.
Mary Claire Byrne, Emma Harden, Julia Bolte and Paige Petty were also on the score sheet.
Petty, in her second collegiate game recorded five draw controls and scooped up four ground balls in the midfield.
After JMU scored the game’s opening goal through Hanna Haven, McGinley scored two straight to give Tech its only advantage of the day. The Dukes scored the next three and would not look back, advancing to 2-0 with two wins over ACC opposition.
Kristen Gaudian scored a career-high six goals and Elena Romesburg added four. Ellie Harmeyer made seven saves in goal.
