Following the contest at JMU, Tech will play four straight at home against; ODU, Campbell, Duke in the ACC season opener and George Mason.
Over Spring Break, the Hokies will head west to Colorado for two games against the University of Colorado and Denver.
The following week, the Hokies return home to face conference foe Notre Dame, followed by matchups against Delaware and VCU.
In the final month, Tech plays four of six on the road, including games at Elon, North Carolina, Louisville and Boston College. The final game to be played at Thompson Field will be against Syracuse on April 7, while Senior Day, the final game of the regular season against Virginia will be played in Lane Stadium.
Tech will face 10 teams that made the NCAA Tournament a season ago, with six of those contests coming on the road. Southern California, JMU, Colorado, Notre Dame, Elon, North Carolina, Louisville, Syracuse, Boston College and Virginia all earned bids during the 2017 season. The Trojans and Tar Heels advanced to the quarterfinals, while the Boston College Eagles were the national runners-up.
The Hokies will look to build on the success of the 2017 season in which they won 11 games for the first time since 1999, including the first two-win ACC season in program history. Tech also scored the most goals in a season in program history in John Sung’s first season at the helm.
Returning captains Meagh Graham and Tristan McGinley each set program records in 2017 as well. Graham owns the best goals against average at 9.64, and McGinley set the Virginia Tech record for draw controls won in a single season at 95.
Admission to all Virginia Tech home games is free.
