Q: Why did you choose Virginia Tech?
LINGO: “I really like the atmosphere of the school, the spirit they had and how pretty the campus was.”
Q: What was your favorite thing about your visit?
LINGO: “We went to a football game so that was really fun and then I just liked how open and big the school was.”
Q: What do you like about Coach Sung and the lacrosse program?
LINGO: “I really like the intensity, his coaching ability, and having him push us to be the best that we can every day. I like how we’re all a family.”
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
LINGO: “My cousin played in the Olympics for field hockey so she was always a role model for me because of all of the hard work she did during those years.”
Q: What is your most memorable lacrosse moment and why?
LINGO: “Probably passing the run test because it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
Q: What do you think you’ll major in and why does it interest you?
LINGO: “Probably human development, that’s my top one as of now. I like helping people and I think I could find a good career off of it. Maybe nursing.”
BONUS ROUND:
Q: If you couldn’t play college lacrosse, what other team would you try out for?
LINGO: “Probably basketball because I played in high school. I really miss it.”
Q: Do you have any pregame superstitions?
LINGO: “I like to do a breathing exercise because I feel like if I don’t then I’m going to be winded during the game or at least at first. During my tournaments, I would do a breathing exercise to expand my lungs so I wouldn’t feel as winded when I first started playing.”
Q: What kind of music do you listen to and who is your favorite artist?
LINGO: “I listen to all music. It depends on what I’m doing. If I’m getting ready for a game, definitely pop music. If I’m just chilling at home, alternative or indie.”
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
LINGO: “In my free time, I usually nap because other than that I’m usually studying or playing lacrosse.”
