Loscalzo named VaSID second-team all-state

BLACKSBURG - Kristine Loscalzo has been named to VaSID’s all-state second-team after a standout senior campaign, the organization announced on Friday.
Loscalzo led the Hokies with 52 goals in what was a historic campaign for the program. She most recently played in the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game where she scored a goal and tallied a draw control for the south squad.
The Miller Place, New York product set career-highs in goals, points (57), shots (118), shot percentage (.441) and draw controls (23). Loscalzo scored five goals and eclipsed 100 career points in the ACC Tournament against Syracuse and set a career-best with six goals in the victory over Campbell on March 24.
Loscalzo was the offensive catalyst for a Virginia Tech squad that tied the program record for wins in a season with 11 and reached its highest ever ranking at No. 12 in the country.
