Loscalzo selected to play in IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

BLACKSBURG – Senior attacker Kristine Loscalzo will represent the Virginia Tech lacrosse program in the prestigious IWLCA Senior All-Star Game that will be held on Saturday, June 3, at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.

Loscalzo was the only ACC student-athlete selected to participate in the game.

“We are excited that Kristine will have an opportunity to represent Virginia Tech in this prestigious all-star game,” Sung said. “Our staff is thrilled that she’s earned this invitation. Kristine and the rest of our seniors were integral in helping the Hokies start to be mentioned among the top teams in the country this season. We appreciate her contributions to the lacrosse program at Tech and congratulate her on this recognition.”

The Miller Place, New York native led the Hokies with 52 goals in what was a historic campaign for the program. She set career-highs in goals, points (57), shots (118), shot percentage (.441) and draw controls (23). Loscalzo scored five goals and eclipsed 100 career points in the ACC Tournament against Syracuse and set a career-best with six goals in the victory over Campbell on March 24.

Loscalzo was the offensive catalyst for a Virginia Tech squad that tied the program record for wins in a season with 11 and reached its highest ever ranking at No. 12 in the country.
