BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s lacrosse team was named an Academic Squad by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association on Monday evening. Forty-four schools were honored by the IWLCA for having a GPA of 3.00 or higher, four of which are Atlantic Coast Conference members.
This is the second time that Tech has been named an Academic Squad by the IWLCA, with the first coming in 2007. Six Hokies from the 2012 roster were named to the All-ACC Academic team, three of which were repeat honorees.
