BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech Monogram Club has announced it will serve as hosts to an informational meeting and luncheon in conjunction with this year’s spring game on Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m. in the South endzone of Lane Stadium.
The event is the beginning of a new phase set forth by the athletics department as a way to reach out to former Virginia Tech student-athletes and educate them on the new initiatives within the Monogram Club.
“We believe there is a real importance and value for the Virginia Tech athletics department to continue to seek ways to engage and connect with our former student-athletes,” Carly Northup, Assistant Athletic Director of External Engagement, said. “Hokie Nation was built with the help of these individuals, and we need a strong Monogram Club and the help of our former student-athletes to continue that tradition.”
Lunch, which is complimentary to all former student-athletes, Monogram Club members and children under 10, is also open to family members/guests of former student-athletes at $10 per person and will be served immediately following the 11 a.m. meeting. The spring game is slated for a 2 p.m. start in Lane Stadium. To RSVP to the event, please contact vtmonogramclub@vt.edu.
In addition to attending the informational meeting, the Monogram Club is encouraging all former student-athletes to update their contact information via email at vtmonogramclub@vt.edu in order for Virginia Tech to continue to build its database and thus engage its former student-athletes.
