Cross country set to compete at ACC Championships
Men look to defend their 2012 ACC title

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – The ACC kicks off the 2013 Fall Championship schedule with the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships hosted by Wake Forest held at Beeson Park Course in Kernersville, N.C.

At the 2012 event, the Hokie men raced their way to victory for their first ever ACC cross country title. The Hokies totaled 55 points edging in-state rival Virginia by six points. Current Hokie, Thomas Curtin finished in seventh place overall in that meet. The women’s cross country team finished 10th in their meet.

Senior Leoule Degfae and junior Thomas Curtin who both have been top finishers for Tech this season lead the men’s team into tomorrows race, while the women will be looking for juniors Courtney Dobbs and Sarah Rapp to continue their quality performances.

The men’s 8K race will start at 10 a.m., followed by the women’s 6K competition at 10:50 a.m.
