HokiesXtra Now Available
Exclusive, live audio & video content available via web and mobile applications

BLACKSBURG (hokiesports.com) – The Virginia Tech Athletics Department announced today the launching of a new online video player that encompasses all live streaming to take place on hokiesports.com. The video player, HokiesXtra (www.hokiesports.com/videos/), offers on-demand video content free to users, including player and coaches interviews and press conferences. A paid subscription is available for access to live events, Tech Talk Live! and all IMG Sports Network radio broadcasts. Annual subscriptions are available at a discounted rate of $59.99 for a limited time and will increase to the full price of $79.99 later this fall. Monthly subscriptions are also available for $9.99.

New HokiesXtra mobile applications are coming in September and will initially offer free access to all live streaming but will require a web-subscription for cross-platform access later this fall. A mobile-only subscription will also be available for $9.99 annually or $2.99 monthly. The iOS and Android mobile applications will have access to all of the aforementioned live streams, as well as have news releases, schedules, on-demand video content, social feeds, photo galleries and rosters.

Fans that previously subscribed to the Hokies All-Access service should unsubscribe and sign up for the new HokiesXtra service. The Virginia Tech Athletics Department will be sending an e-mail to all current All-Access subscribers to support switching to the new service.

The new HokiesXtra platform was built by SportsLabs in partnership with Virginia Tech Athletics and IMG College.
