BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s cross country team was one of 192 teams to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for the 2010 season, announced Wednesday. The Hokies earned a cumulative team GPA of 3.19 and were one of 10 ACC teams to be named to the list.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, a team must have a cumulative GPA higher than a 3.00 and have started at least five student-athletes at their respective NCAA regional championship. This season, the Hokies took fifth at the Southeast Regionals, led by Paige Kvartunas, who placed 18th to earn All-Southeast Region honors.
