CAVALIER GOLF AND YACHT CLUB Attending Virginia Tech on The Monroe Golf Scholarship T om, one of the golf team’s representatives on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), worked his way into the lineup last spring and showed a lot of promise while playing in six tournaments his first season. He struggled a bit this past fall, but his positive attitude will no doubt enable him to work through it. He has a lot of potential and all of the tools necessary to become a mainstay in the lineup. —Coach Jay Hardwick “ ” TOM CROW 2017-18 Season –Competed twice as an individual in the fall, at the Janney VCU Shootout and UNCG Grandover Collegiate 2016-17 Season –Competed in six events, including three as a member of the starting lineup … Best finish was 51st at the General Hackler Championship … Made a hole-in-one during the final round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate on the seventh hole Collegiate Awards/Honors –Serves as a representative for Men’s Golf on the Student Athlete Advisory Council for the 2017-18 season Junior Golf/High School –2014 VSGA State Junior Champion … 2014 VSGA Junior Match Play Championship medalist … Runner-up at the 2015 VSGA Junior Match Play to current teammate Mark Lawrence Jr. … Two-time Tidewater Conference champion and four-time first team All-conference selection ... Three-time first team All VSIAA state tournament member … Represented Virginia in both the 2014 and 2015 Mid-Atlantic Junior Invitational and Virginia/Carolinas junior team matches ...
